August Update

Well we had the refreshing rain I hoped for last month but moderation seems to be a disappearing aspect of our weather. The lawn (grass) is showing patches of green but the snails in the garden have been having "a right birthday," as my Mother would have said. Lace curtains seems to be the new fashion in foliage.

August will be a rest and recuperation time for the Choir. We finish our rehearsals on Wednesday 31 July 2019 and return refreshed and rarin' to go on Wednesday 4 September 2019. No doubt we shall be delving into our Christmas pieces. Christmas has a peculiar facility for lying in wait and then appearing like magic from around the corner. We are already taking bookings for Christmas Concerts and Carol Sings, so if you would like to book the Choir for your Celebration, Fund Raising event or "bit of a do," our secretary Pauline on 07951609217 would be pleased to hear from you.

Our rehearsals take place every Wednesday evening from 7-30pm. until 9-00pm. upstairs in the Theatre Refreshment Area at the Dukeries Academy, Ollerton. This is best accessed via the Leisure Centre Entrance and car park.
