The Dukeries Singers St. George's Day blog

On Sunday 22th.April,we sang at St. Giles' Church in Ollerton for their St. George's Day celebrations. We fielded a large Choir as we have many seriously committed members. It was good to be singing for an audience "In Concert" as we all love performing. I think we all enjoyed the afternoon, audience and singers both.

We sang a very varied programme with music ancient and modern including a lovely solo from Vera and some rousing patriotic songs to finish, including flags! So something for everyone.

I understand that the whole annual event was a huge success and it was a pleasure to be invited and to be able to take part in such a happy and joyous occasion. I do hope that the Dragon was thoroughly routed by St. George. Hurrah!
