August Update
The Dukeries Singers
Having wrestled with our Raspberry bed all morning, I am surely deserving of this sit down in front of my screen. I swear we have raspberry canes for Nottinghamshire!
We have no Concerts in August, but we visit Weston, near Sutton on Trent on Saturday 16th. September 2017, to deliver a concert in their Church at 7-30pm.
Our last Choir practise for the Summer term is on Wednesday 26 July 2017. We return to rehearsal on Wednesday 30 August 2017. Thereafter we meet every Wednesday in the Concert Hall at the Dukeries Academy at 7-30pm. until 9-15pm. This is best accessed via the leisure Centre entrance and free car park.
This would be an excellent time to join this very friendly Choir as we shall all be beginning our preparations for our Christmas engagements and all be at square one. You are welcome to attend for one or two weeks to see if singing in a Choir is for you. There are no Auditions and no necessity to be able to read music. It is fun, friendly and satisfying to sing together to make a good sound.
