July Update

The Dukeries Singers

The weather has done its stuff and the gardens are burgeoning with flowers and edibles. Despite trying to cut down on work and what we grow, we shall still have lots of "stuff" to pick, process and freeze etc. Let's hope there will be some free moments to actually sit in the garden and enjoy the Summer.

We finish our Summer singing season with a Concert at St. Chad's Church in Pleasley Vale on 8 July 2017 at 7-00pm. This Is a beautiful, serene little Church, surrounded by trees and with the River Meden running through the valley. We are delighted to be invited to sing there once again. On the following Wednesday evening, 12July 2017 the Choir will be resting their voices and enjoying a social evening together.

We always extend a warm welcome to anyone thinking about joining us. There are no auditions and no need to be able to read music. We meet every Wednesday evening in the Concert Hall of the Dukeries Academy from 7-30pm until 9-15pm. This is best accessed via the Leisure Centre entrance and free car park. Have a look at our information on our website thedukeriessingers.co

m or on YouTube or on Facebook or even ask any member of the Choir you may know.

Phil is our Concert Secretary on 01623 822070 and he would be delighted to hear from you if you would like to book us. We sing for a wide variety of occasions and fundraising events in an equally wide variety of venues. We have lots of available dates for Autumn, Christmas and even 2018! Don't forget, Christmas has a nasty habit of sneakily creeping up and appearing suddenly from around a corner.!

Have a lovely Summer. Sing in the garden, The wildlife will love it.

Jan
